About Milan Free Tour

We show visitors the real Milan on foot — led by locals, open to everyone, paid for with a tip at the end.

Sforza Castle in Milan

Our idea is simple

Milan rewards those who explore it on foot — but the city can feel closed and businesslike at first, and a good guided walk changes everything. We run pay-what-you-wish walking tours so that anyone, on any budget, can experience Milan with a knowledgeable local at their side. You reserve for free, walk with us, and decide at the end what the tour was worth.

Led by locals

Our tours are guided by people who actually live in and love Milan — not scripts read off a card. They know which courtyard to duck into, which story the guidebooks get wrong, and where to go for the best aperitivo when the walk is over.

Every guide is chosen for two things: real knowledge of the city's history and its stories, and the warmth that makes a group of strangers feel like they're being shown around by a friend.

Why "free" works

The tip-based model has powered walking tours across Europe for years. It keeps the barrier low for travellers and rewards guides for being genuinely excellent. If you want the full explanation, read how free walking tours work.
